Frequently Asked Questions

  • Change Your Email Address

    You’ll want to make sure you have a valid email address on file. We use your email address to communicate important health and billing information.

    To change your email address, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to myiuhealth.org and sign in. Click on the arrow icon in the top right corner and select "Manage Account."

     

    2. Select "Update Email" from the menu. This is the sixth option in the left-side menu.

     

    3. Complete the form. Complete the form to update your email address.

     

    3. Select “Submit.” A confirmation email message will be sent to your new email address to confirm the update.

  • Recover Your Username

    Did you forget your username? We can help.

    To recover your username, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to myiuhealth.org. Click on the “Forgot Username” link in the Sign In box.

     

    2. Complete the form. On this page, you should enter your first name, last name, date of birth, last four digits of your social security number and email address. Remember to use the same information you used to create your account.

    3. Click "Submit." This will prompt you to answer the security questions you created at the time you opened your account. After these security questions are answered correctly, you will be taken to the My IU Health sign in page, and your username will be provided.

  • Forgot Your Password

    Forgot your password?  You can quickly and easily reset your password by using the “Forgot password” link on myiuhealth.org.

    1. Click on the “Forgot Password” link found within the "Sign In" box.

     

    2. Reset your password. To reset your password, simply enter your username and then click "Submit". You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password to the email address registered to your My IU Health account. If you do not receive an email, please call Health Information Management at 317.963.1661.

     

    3. Check your email. You will receive an email with the subject “Reset your My IU Health password.” Click the “Reset Password” link found at the bottom of that email.

    4. Answer the security questions. To reset your password, answer the personal security questions you created when you set up your account. 

     

    5. Reset your password. Complete the reset password form by entering a new password and confirming the new password.  Click “update” and an email will be sent to your registered email address informing you that your password has been updated. 

     

  • Resetting Your Password

    Your password gives you secure access to My IU Health and helps ensure your private information and transactions stay secure.

    To reset your password, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to myiuhealth.org and sign in. Click on the arrow icon in the top right corner and select "Manage Account".

     

    2. Click on “Change Password.” This will be the second option that appears on the left-side menu.

     

    3. Create a new password. Your password must be at least 8 characters in length, including at least one capital letter, one lower case letter and one number. It can't include spaces.

     

    5. Submit. Click "Submit" and an email will be sent to your email address informing you that your password has been updated.

  • Update Your Security Questions

    You previously selected your security questions when you first created an account. These will help you if you need to recover your username or password. This is part of our enhanced level of security to prevent unauthorized access to your account and confidential information.

    To update your security questions, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to myiuhealth.org and sign in. Click on the arrow icon in the top right corner and select "Manage Account."

     

    2. Select "Update Security Questions". This will be the last option in the left-side menu. 

     

    3. Fill out the form. Use this form to change your security questions. To change a question, simply select a new question from the drop-down list. To change an answer, enter your new answer.

     

    4. Select “Submit.” Upon completion, your security questions will be changed. An email will be sent to your email address informing you that your security questions have been updated.

  • Removing Access

    To remove someone's access to your Health Services information, please follow the steps below. You can also remove yourself from accessing another person’s information.

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Go to MyIUHealth.org and log in. Click on “Manage Account” from the dropdown menu in the top right-hand corner.

     

    • Look in the middle of the page for the section “Persons Who Can Access My Health Services Information.” You will see a list of the people who have access to your Health Services information. Select the “Remove” button next to the name of the person you want to remove. That person will no longer have access to your Health Services information.

      

    • Look in the middle of the page for the section “Health Services Information I Can Access.” You will see a list of the people who have given you access to their Health Services information. If you would like to remove your access, select the “Remove” button next to their name. You will no longer be able to view their Health Services information.

     

  • Deactivating Your Account

    If you wish to delete your account, you may recreate an account at a different time. However, you’ll need a new username. When you delete your account, everyone who has access to your account will no longer have access.

    Please follow these steps to deactivate your account:

    1. Go to myiuhealth.org and sign in. Click on the arrow icon in the top right corner and select "Manage Account."

     

    2. Select “Delete Account". This is the third option in the left-side menu. Once you select "Delete Account", your account has been deleted. When you delete your account, all access to your account—including others who have may have access to view your information—will be terminated.
